But I bet you don't see many couples out there walking hand-in-hand

interestingly enough Jersey (UK, not US) has one of the largest tidal movements in the world, something like 40ft vertically. Also the gradient of the beach is quite shallow so at low tide the island doubles in size apparently. I find it quite amazing
